Jeff Maccora is a band member of Alternative-Electro group Mansions On The Moon (wiki link) and has released two EPs and a full length album with the group. The group’s work garnered critical acclaim and has been featured on Billboard, MTV, Complex, FADER, Earmilk, Noisey/VICE, Stereogum, Hypetrak, The Nerdist, KCRW, Prefix Magazine and many more.
Jeff’s performance credits with Mansions On The Moon include six U.S. tours playing with and along side such acts as Cherub, Lincoln Jesser, R. City, Carousel, Elohim, Zee Avi, and Digital Underground. As a sideman he has played dates with Kevin Richardson (Backstreet Boys), Scarface, Clyde Stubblefield (James Brown & Bootsy Collins), DJ Lord (Public Enemy), Donovan, Celeste Kellogg, Michael and Marisa, Will Champlin (The Voice), Will Makar (The Voice).
Jeff’s film credits include scoring a short film for Lexus/The Weinstein Company titled, “Pupil” (2014) which premiered at Cannes Film Festival, sound design for “NanoBlood” (2015), and music consultant for “Lend a Hand For Love” (2016).
His educational background includes studying at Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA and private lessons with Charlie Banacos (internationally recognized Jazz educator), Lenny Stalworth (The RH Factor), Bruce Gertz (Maynard Ferguson), and Polo Jones (Whitney Houston). He is also a former staff accompanist for Berklee’s Voice, Drum, and Guitar Departments and still participates in the school’s Summer in LA Program.
Jeff currently lives in Los Angeles, CA and works in production.
